The historic tradition of immersing Goddess Durga idols in the Buriganga River is set to resume next year, bringing joy to the Hindu community and festival organizers in the capital.
For the past several years, immersion locations had been shifted due to environmental and logistical considerations. However, discussions between community leaders and relevant authorities have paved the way for the return of this cherished ritual to its traditional home on the Buriganga.
Preparations and safety measures will be coordinated closely with local administration and law enforcement agencies to ensure a peaceful and smooth celebration for the upcoming festival season.
