Regarding the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police in Magura, Thandar Khairul Hasan, stated that the autopsy had been completed at the Magura 250-bed Hospital. The attending physicians informed law enforcement that a bullet was found inside the skull, leading to the preliminary suspicion that he died from a gunshot wound. He added that the definitive cause of death would be confirmed upon receiving the full autopsy report.

Shaker Hossain served as the senior joint convener of the Magura municipal unit of Jubo Dal and worked as a counter manager. He was the son of the late Kutubuddin, hailing from Beparipara in Parnanduali, Magura municipality.

Hossain was found unconscious at the Royal Paribahan counter at the Parnanduali bus terminal at around 5:30 am on Wednesday. He was rushed to the hospital, where attending physicians declared him dead.

Initially, family members believed he had died of natural causes or illness and brought his body home. However, while preparing the body for ritual bathing, relatives noticed an injury mark on the back of his head and immediately informed the police. The body was subsequently retrieved and sent to the hospital for a formal autopsy.
