Confirming the arrests to Chitra Post, Additional Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (Administration and Finance) Md. Wahidul Hoque Chowdhury said that a police constable from Bandarban and four of his accomplices were caught red-handed while trying to sell a stolen motorcycle.

Khulshi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Kamruzzaman stated that a regular case has been filed in connection with the incident. He explained that during an ongoing drive against a stolen motorcycle theft syndicate, police initially detained one member of the ring. Based on information extracted from him, subsequent raids led to the arrest of the police constable and the remaining suspects. Preliminary investigations suggest the constable's direct involvement with the syndicate.

Bandarban District Superintendent of Police Md. Wahabul Islam Khandaker told Chitra Post that a regular criminal case is being filed against the arrested constable. Necessary departmental action will be taken against him upon receipt of the formal case documents.
