The education boards have officially scheduled the test examinations for the 2027 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams, setting the timeline from 28 October to 10 November. This announcement came alongside the issuance of comprehensive guidelines regarding the upcoming SSC candidate registration and form fill-up process across the country.
According to the official directive issued by the boards, educational institutions are strictly mandated to publish the results of the test examinations by 15 November. Sitting for the test examination remains mandatory for all regular candidates. However, exemptions have been granted to irregular candidates who previously failed and those attempting to appear for GPA improvement, both of whom will not be obligated to sit for the preparatory test exams.
The directive also clarified the curriculum framework for the upcoming tests and the subsequent final examinations. Irregular candidates and those aiming for grade improvements will be evaluated based on questions aligned with the 2025 and 2026 SSC syllabuses. In contrast, regular examinees will be assessed on question papers tailored strictly according to the syllabus prepared for the 2027 SSC examinations.
Furthermore, educational institutions have been directed to strictly adhere to the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) guidelines regarding continuous internal assessments. Marks obtained in subjects such as physical education, health science and sports, and career education must be submitted directly to designated examination centres. These examination centres are required to enter and transmit the continuous assessment marks digitally to the education board's official portal within the stipulated time frame.
