Memory is a fascinating canvas. While life's hectic pace shifts over time, the pure joy and little memories of childhood remain deeply rooted in the human heart. Amidst the rigorous academic schedules and daily university pressures, a special gathering titled 'Bondhu Adda', organized by Daffodil Bondhushava, offered students a much-needed opportunity to revisit those golden days of youth. The lively get-together took place on the afternoon of October 3 at the shaded and scenic Kathaltola premises of Daffodil International University.
Beginning amidst a pleasant, rainy, and cool weather atmosphere, the event kicked off with an engaging self-introduction session that instantly melted the ice among the participants. Moving beyond formal greetings, the gathering quickly blossomed into a heartwarming celebration of nostalgia. Students willingly stepped back into their childhood days, leaving behind the stress of assignments, exams, and future career anxieties. The core attraction of the afternoon was a series of traditional and nostalgic childhood games, including popular regional pastimes like 'Open-T-Bioscope', 'Borof-Pani' (ice-water tag), and classic tag games. These familiar games instantly revived the innocence, simplicity, and unadulterated joy of early years, filling the Kathaltola area with loud laughter, cheers, and enthusiastic participation where sharing moments mattered far more than winning or losing.
Following the energetic physical games, the event transitioned into a cozy ice cream and tea session. Sipping hot tea amidst the chilly, rain-kissed afternoon added a unique dimension to the gathering. Students engaged in lighthearted banter, shared personal stories, and exchanged life experiences, transforming casual moments into vibrant memories. These informal interactions played a vital role in relieving academic fatigue, fostering closer peer bonds, and reinforcing a strong sense of community and camaraderie among the attendees.
The concluding segment of the day featured an open-air musical session. With melodious tunes, spontaneous singing, and the collective chorus of students, the venue transformed into a vibrant cultural hub. Combining sports, storytelling, tea, and music, the 'Bondhu Adda' successfully served as a delightful portal back to childhood memories. Organizers and participants alike emphasized that such extracurricular and stress-relieving initiatives are essential for holistic student development, ensuring that the rain-washed afternoon remains etched in their memories for years to come.
