The great Mahanavami, marking the penultimate phase of the Sharadiya Durgotsov, the biggest religious festival of the Bengali Hindu community, is being observed today with immense devotion, traditional rituals, and vibrant festivities.
Temples and temporary mandaps across the country are witnessing a massive gathering of devotees offering their final prayers and seeking blessings from Goddess Durga. Following the completion of Sandhi Puja and other sacred rituals, cultural events and community meals will be held to celebrate the auspicious day before tomorrow's immersion of the idols.
