Marking the 28th founding anniversary of Chitra Post, Dinajpur Bondhushava has gifted bicycles and a full year's supply of educational materials to two schoolgirls from financially disadvantaged families as part of its 'Akti Bhalo Kaj' (A Good Deed) initiative. One of the recipients belongs to an ethnic minority community. The gifts were officially handed over during a special ceremony held on October 27 at the Ishwargram Adibasi Government Primary School in Kaharol upazila.

The recipients are Promila Tudu, a fifth-grade student, and Priya Rani Roy, an eighth-grade student. Both students received brand-new bicycles, bringing immense joy as the transport will significantly ease their daily commutes to school. In addition to the bicycles, both girls received a complete set of study materials for the year, including notebooks, pens, pencils, and geometry boxes. Educational supplies were also distributed among other students at the school.

Promila Tudu is a student of Ishwargram Adibasi Government Primary School and hails from Magurabad village in Birol upazila. The eldest child of daily wage-earning parents, she lives with her grandparents at a cluster village (guchchagram) due to extreme poverty back home. Because her school is located far from her grandparents' home, commuting on foot every day was a major struggle. The new bicycle is expected to largely alleviate this hardship.

On the same day, another bicycle was handed over to Priya Rani Roy, an eighth-grade student at Ajimpur Adarsha High School in Birol upazila. Priya lost her father about three years ago, and her family now relies entirely on her day-laborer mother's meager income. Funding the education of three daughters has been an immense challenge for the struggling family. With the school located at a considerable distance from her home, Priya previously had to walk the long route every day.
