Junior doctors at Osmania General Hospital (OGH) have staged a protest drawing attention to critically deficient facilities and non-functional medical equipment that are severely hampering patient care.
According to Dr. N. Chandrakanth Reddy, President of the Osmania Medical College Junior Doctors Association (OMC JUDA), essential life-saving infrastructure—including ventilators, the catheterisation laboratory, and critical diagnostic machines—have remained non-functional for months.
Dr. Reddy stated that despite holding formal meetings with the Health Secretary to address these pressing concerns, the administration has failed to provide any concrete assurances or corrective measures, leaving the medical staff with no option but to protest.
