Krishna and Mashura's Team Books Final Phase Ticket
Excitement ran high at the Daffodil International University grounds in Savar today. In the day's first fixture and the tournament's third quarterfinal, Mymensingh's Kalsindur Football Academy faced Sylhet's Ragib-Rabeya Bangladesh Sports Academy. Neither team managed to break the deadlock in the first half. However, the momentum shifted in the 66th minute when Ragib-Rabeya's otherwise solid defense faltered, conceding a penalty. Kalsindur forward Aklima Akter capitalized on the opportunity, slotting home a precise shot that ultimately decided the match and earned her the Player of the Match award.
In the day's final and fourth quarterfinal, Khulna's Tetultola Super Queen Football Academy went head-to-head against Bogura's Roxy Football Academy. In the 23rd minute, exploiting a lapse in the Roxy defense, forward Ritu Shikdar scored with a clinical placement from inside the box to give her side the lead. Though the Bogura side launched desperate attacks in search of an equalizer, triggering a fierce contest for the remainder of the match, Ritu's early strike proved decisive, securing her the Player of the Match accolade as well.
