The arrested individuals have been identified as Ahbabuzzaman Anwar (24), a resident of Gowainghat, and Md. Shamsul Amin (27), from Habiganj. Both work as staff members at a restaurant located in the Zindabahar area of Sylhet city. They were apprehended during a joint operation conducted by the Sylhet Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) and the Kotwali Model Police Station on Sunday night.

According to the case details, a young man went to dine with his female friend at a restaurant in Zindabazar on Saturday afternoon. During their visit, secret photographs of the pair were captured. Later, those pictures were allegedly uploaded to social media platforms to harass and defame them.
In the formal complaint, the victim stated that his and his friend's photographs were circulated across various Facebook pages to spread propaganda, harassment, and incitement. He noted that the incident severely tarnished the social standing of both families, subjecting the victims to intense harassment and deeply embarrassing situations.
Police reported that the breakthrough came after reviewing the CCTV footage of the restaurant, which led to the identification of the suspects. Consequently, a raid was launched on Sunday night resulting in the arrest of Ahbabuzzaman Anwar and Shamsul Amin.
