In a deeply moving ceremony held at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium in the capital, 135 brilliant students who secured GPA-5 in their SSC examinations despite extreme financial hardship were honored alongside their tea-stall owner parents. Organized by 'Number One', a popular brand of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), the event aimed to celebrate the indomitable spirit of these students and the immense sacrifices made by their families to support their education.
During the grand reception, each of the 135 students received a crest of honor, a certificate, and a one-time educational scholarship. In a touching tribute, medals were placed around the necks of the proud fathers and mothers whose daily struggles running small tea stalls enabled their children to achieve academic excellence. The organizers noted that these students represent a remarkable story of resilience, having overcome daily hardships and poverty to reach the pinnacle of academic success at the secondary level.
Demonstrating a long-term commitment to their educational journey, the brand announced a two-year educational support package to help the students prepare for their upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams. Under this initiative, all 135 students will gain free access to comprehensive academic preparation courses provided by the leading online education platform, 'Ten Minute School'. This digital learning support will ensure that students from remote and underprivileged backgrounds have equal access to top-tier academic resources.
The event was graced by eminent writer and novelist Anisul Hoque, along with Ayman Sadiq, founder and CEO of Ten Minute School, who attended as special guests. In their inspiring speeches, they praised the relentless determination of the students and the profound sacrifices of the parents. They emphasized that these young achievers have proven that poverty cannot curb genuine talent and ambition, setting a shining example for the youth across the country.
Top executives from Meghna Group of Industries, including Chief Accounts Officer Md. Rahmatullah Khondokar, Chief Human Resources Officer Atiq Uz Zaman Khan, Senior General Manager Sajjad Hossain, and Deputy General Manager (Brand) Md. Mahbubur Rahman, were also present at the ceremony. They interacted closely with the students and their families, handing over the gifts and awards personally. The corporate leaders expressed hope that these bright minds would go on to serve the nation and inspire future generations.
The emotional gathering concluded with high hopes for the future, as students and parents alike shared moments of immense joy and pride. The organizers reiterated their commitment to standing by underprivileged talents in the future, ensuring that financial constraints never become a barrier to a student's pursuit of knowledge and success.
