Two teenage friends tragically lost their lives in a devastating road accident in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi district. The incident took place on Friday night along the Narsingdi-Raipura regional road in the Hasnabad area under Amirganj union. The deceased teenagers have been identified as Nirob Mia, 17, son of Selim Mia, and Jibon Mia, 17, son of Zayedul Mia, both hailing from Madhyapara area of Saharchar village under Radhanagar union in Raipura. Being childhood friends living next door to each other, their sudden demise has cast a pall of gloom over the entire locality.

According to family members and local sources, the two friends had gone out for a ride to Narsingdi town on a motorcycle on Friday afternoon. After spending the evening touring around, they were heading back home around 9:00 PM. As they reached the Hasnabad area on the Narsingdi-Raipura regional road, their motorcycle was involved in a head-on collision with a moving nosimon—a locally improvised motorized transport—coming from the opposite direction. The violent impact flung both teenagers off the bike onto the asphalt, leaving them with severe injuries.
